Well, here we are. On the downhill side of NaNoWriMo. I'm currently sitting at just over 23K words. You know, that's not even halfway, and I'm still not stressed out. I found out on Friday that I can do 3500 a day without a problem. I just have to find the motivation to get it done. Today, I took a nibble out of the entire amount by writing 3,000. Unfortunately, the NaNo site and I got into an argument over how much I did write. *growl*
FocusWriter says I did 3,037. NaNo says I only typed 2,400. See why I'm upset? I think I have a right to be upset. I was so upset that I redid the entire master file in case my synced files were off. *sigh* I did have errors on both sides of the computer/sync file equation. Those are all fixed and NaNo still thinks I only did 2,400 words. LAST time, it and FocusWriter agreed a lot closer than that on what I wrote!
Maybe using FocusWriter was a bad idea. I have an extra step thrown in now before I can save and sync my files. I guess I'll just start adding on to my previous files and call it good. Or something. I don't know. I'll think it through tomorrow when I sit down to write.
Tonight, all I want to do is go take a shower, watch an episode or two of Eureka, and head to bed. I DID however, spend some time watching a Twitter stream today. It was the #writechat. Excellent group to sit in on if you get the chance on Sundays. I'm going to start making it a part of my writing habit. I learned so much today. It was exciting. :-)
Now, off to take my shower.
