Okay, I'm not done with my book, but I hit my goal today, both of them. My first goal was to hit 20,000 words. I was sitting at 16,587. No problem. That's doable. Then, I figured, what a silly goal, as that required 3,413 words. Silly number. I jumped it slightly to 3500. I ended up at, according to the NaNo site, 3609 words for today.
I'm just skipping around here happy as a lark. :-D I'm going to have to repeat that almost every single day from here on out. I might try and see if I can't sneak in more words whenever I can. Weekend starts tomorrow, then the kids have a good part of next week off due to Thanksgiving. It might be a little difficult to get the necessary words on a few of those days. Oh, well. I did it last year, I can do it this year. :-D
